Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

Depart Nairobi and travel north through the scenic central highlands, passing through lush coffee and tea plantations. Along the way, stop briefly at the Equator crossing point in Nanyuki for photographs and an interesting demonstration of the Coriolis effect.

Continue to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in time for lunch.

After check-in and lunch, relax and enjoy views of the camp’s waterhole, which regularly attracts wildlife throughout the day.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive within the conservancy. Explore the diverse habitats while searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.

Visit the enclosure housing the world’s last two remaining northern white rhinos and learn about ongoing conservation efforts to save the species.

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
