Itineraries

Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Morning: 7:30 AM: After Breakfast at your Hotel Depart from Entebbe or Kampala. It’s a long drive (approximately 8-9 hours). En Route: Equator Crossing: Stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for photos and a quick break. Lunch: Stop in Mbarara town for a lunch break at a local restaurant. Afternoon: Continue the drive through scenic landscapes, passing through Kabale or Kisoro towns depending on the location of your lodge. Evening: Arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check-in at your lodge. Dinner and rest in preparation for the next day’s trek. Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Early Morning: 6:00 AM: Breakfast at the lodge. 7:00 AM: Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and assignment of gorilla families. Morning/Afternoon: 8:00 AM: Start the gorilla trek. The trek can last from a few hours to most of the day depending on the location of the gorilla family. During the Trek: Enjoy the lush forest and wildlife. Once the gorillas are located, spend up to one hour observing them after you will receive your Gorilla Trekking certificate as a souvenir for a successful gorilla trek. Afternoon: Return to the lodge for lunch (depending on the length of the trek). Evening: Relax at the lodge. You can choose to take a community walk to visit the local Batwa community or relax and enjoy the lodge’s amenities. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Bwindi to Entebbe/Kampala

Morning: 7:00 AM: Breakfast at the lodge. 8:00 AM: Begin the drive back to Entebbe or Kampala. Optional: Depending on your departure time, you can visit Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride. En Route: Lunch: Stop in Mbarara or another convenient town for lunch. Afternoon: Continue the drive back, enjoying the scenic views and making short stops as needed. Evening: Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala. Transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your departure flight.
